PHOENIX, AZ (November 2011) – Tuff-Writer Inc., makers of the world's toughest American made tactical pens, listened to their customer base and have responded with a new Operator Series tactical pen with the new features their customers requested in the ultimate must-have tool such as allowing the cap to post on the back while writing, an o-ring to help prevent the cap from accidentally loosening and seal out moisture as well as a newly profiled cold-pressed spring steel clip. The new Operator is designed, machined and assembled in the U.S.A. to be the toughest pen on the market, period. These bad boys are made to withstand environmental extremes of heat and cold and function without fail. The new Operator is now even stronger with an increased wall thickness to handle additional punishment. The Operator will withstand nearly 750 PSI without breaking a sweat. A MIL-A-8625 "F" anodizing over a non-marking finish provides a "rock-hard" surface finish to handle the elements and anything else the world throws at it.

Operator series pens are designed with a sharp and a rounded end. Each side can be effectively used as a defensive implement or control device. The smooth finished point also doubles as a PDA stylus. The no-snag design of the pen allows for easy deployment or holstering. The Operator's slightly upwards tipped spring steel clip and external knurling also allow for an exceptionally low slip grip.

The newly redesigned Operator Tactical pen is just a bit shorter and thicker and tougher than the Frontline Series making it a bit more discreet for casual carry. This also allows for a natural feel and balance in the hand that has to be felt to be believed.

As always, Tuff-Writer pens utilize a pressurized cartridge made by Fisher which writes at any angle, even upside down. The pens are designed with a screw-on cap so when the pen is closed, it functions as one solid piece, critical in a self-defense tool. All Tuff-Writer pens are guaranteed against material and workmanship defects for the life of the pen.
