Following a weekend bought with the flu (hopefully not of the H1N1 variety because much like Samuel L. Jackson's character, Jules Winnfield from "Pulp Fiction" "…I just don't dig on swine….", I returned to work yesterday to discover an e-mail from my friend Brad of theunclegun.com fame who announced he finally received the shipment of carbine kits from his machinist. After inspecting each part and assembling each kit, he anticipates shipping them out within a few days.

So, even though I'm still waiting on other carbine parts from my local gunsmith, who knows? With spare carbine parts to consider (partly due to Brad's carbine kit along with my association with Paul and Eric) another U.N.C.L.E.-related SBR project may be in order, but perhaps with a subtle hint of contemporary flair. A chilled, albeit classy Gibson (one of Agent Solo's preferred cocktails during the show's first season) may be in order this evening as a means of pre-celebratory libation.

On a similar note, Brad's news came at rather intriguing time: Yesterday, (Tuesday September 22, 2009) was the 45th anniversary of the airing of the "Man From U.N.C.L.E." pilot episode "The Vulcan Affair".

Stay Tuned, Cheers.
