Since work prevented me from continuing the function test of my project last Friday, I spent the weekend practicing strobist-style photography with my Canon Rebel, XSI in preparation for an upcoming business trip to Montana.

When it wasn't serving as the subject of my photos, I took my extended-capacity magazine apart and examine it. Compared to a standard P38 magazine, I noticed the followers were identical. However, there was a noticeable difference in the configuration of the feed lips. In the back of my mind I began to wonder if I had discovered the origin of the extended magazine's feeding issues with FMJ ammunition. Depending on how well it cycles Critical Defense, some modification may be in order.

Hopefully, this afternoon will provide some answers. In the meantime, enjoy the photos I took over the weekend.
