Springfield Armory recently introduced the new Hellcat RDP (Rapid Defense Package), an extension of the Hellcat design with the addition of a Hex Wasp micro red-dot sight and a self-indexing, single-port compensator.

Capitalizing on the success of the original Hellcat, which is still the world's highest capacity micro 9 mm, the new RDP version is ideal for concealed carry and enhanced accuracy thanks to the Hex Wasp sight. Likewise, the single port compensator helps tame whatever recoil the Hellcat produces, allowing for fast follow-up shots and easy target acquisition.

The Hellcat RDP comes with an 11- and 13-round magazine, as well as an optional manual safety that's accessible from either side of the handgun. The new Hex Wasp sight co-witnesses with the Hellcat's tritium U-dot sights. The RDP also features the new Gen 2 trigger. MSRP on the new model is $899.
