Maxim Defense is known for making PDW (Personal Defense Weapons) sized guns using the AR-15 as a base platform. They are also known for making high- quality suppressors and folding stocks, and the new PDX-SD combines all of those products into one gun. 
The PDX-SD is a short-barreled rifle in either 5.56 NATO and will soon be available in 7.62x39mm and .300BLK. The gun comes with an integral suppressor. The gun has an overall length of 23.75 inches which includes a 7.4 inch long suppressor. The weight of the gun, including the suppressor is 7.6 pounds. The PDX-SD has an MSRP of $3,495 and will be available in Colors Black, Arid Brown and Urban Grey.
