Mossberg 590R

The Mossberg 590R is a variant of the pump-action Mossberg 590 shotgun which has a rotary safety selector that mirrors the safety selector found on AR-15 pattern firearms. Mossberg 590R models also incorporates AR-15 pattern pistol grips and furniture into the 590R. This combination does away with the traditional shotgun stock and allows the shooter to square up behind the gun in a similar manner to shooting an AR. The 590R also includes a Picatinny receiver-mounted optics base that works in tandem with its furniture arrangement. Mossberg is now expanding its 590R pump-action offerings by adding two 590R variants with Cerakote flat dark earth and olive drab finishes.

Mossberg 590R Pump-Action Shotgun Features:

  • Ambidextrous, rotary safety selector with protective guard that can be reached without breaking grip.
  • Mossberg-designed stock with five positions of adjustment (12 to 15.25 inches), interchangeable recoil pad and two-sided QD cups to attach a sling, with the front QD cup on the magazine cap.

My friend and I have a few different handguns we use on a regular basis. Some are for competition, some are for personal defense, some are for casual shooting and I even hunt big game with a handgun.
