Beretta USA has launched a new generation of Sako Cartridges into the U.S. market. The loads include six innovative families in the line, including TRG Precision, Gamehead Pro, Gamehead, Speedhead, Super Hammerhead and Powerhead Blade, which is lead-free.

Since 1928, Sako Cartridges has maintained the same uncompromising combination of performance and craftsmanship found in the company’s rifles. Today the firm harnesses the latest computer-aided research and development techniques and the resulting products are manufactured at tight CNC tolerances.

Each case goes through a series of automatic and manual inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency. Thanks to a proprietary heat-treatment method and zero impurities of the case material, Sako cartridges resist pressure better, are reloadable longer and maximize the lifespan and safety of any rifle.

“The whole team at Sako is excited to introduce our range of ammunition into the U.S. market,” said Phillip Jones, rifle, ammunition, and premium guns product manager for Beretta USA. “With a diverse group of products including the TRG line of Precision Cartridges and the innovative Powerhead Blade lead-free family, Sako Cartridges are made using world class components to give reliability, accuracy, and repeatability—no matter if you’re on the range or in the back country.”

TRG Precision loads feature an open tip, boattail match bullet developed for competition and precision long-range shooting. It is available in .260 Rem., 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win., .338 Lapua Mag.

Speedheads are ideal for the active3-Gun shooter. They come with a full-metal-jacket bullet that delivers performance for target shooting with consistent accuracy. Its muzzle velocity and low recoil make it the ideal choice for high-volume .223 Rem. enthusiasts.

For hunting, the company’s new line include the lead-free Powerhead Blade for various game sizes. It is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Win. Mag., .30-06 Sprg. and .308 Win. Gamehead Pro cartridges are loaded with Sierra’s GameChanger bullet and are available in .270 Win., 6.5 PRC, and 7 mm Rem. Mag. A Spitzer-nosed, soft-point bullet is used on Gamehead cartridges, which are only available in .243 Win. loads.

The Super Hammerhead is a heavy jacketed, strong, and non-fragmenting bullet that ensures controlled expansion. The bullet is designed for big game hunting at short to medium distances and is available in 6.5 x 55 SE, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win., .270 Win., and .30-06 Sprg. These six new Sako Cartridge products are available at select Sako dealer locations across the United States.
