In a market dominated by micro red-dot optics that are often seen mounted on handgun slides, Riton Optics announced the release of its first pistol red-dot optic: the X3 Tactix PRD, along with the expansion of its product lineup in other areas, to include riflescopes, binoculars and other accessories.
Designed and tested at the Riton headquarters in Tucson, AZ, the X3 Tactix PRD features a precisely-defined 3-MOA dot, making it a good choice for use on pistols, modern sporting rifles and other firearms. Made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and incorporating fully multi-coated, high-definition lenses, it is also waterproof and shockproof up to 800 Gs of impact. The X3 Tactix PRD also features six levels of brightness on the dot and has an auto shut-off after four hours to extend the unit's battery life.
Riton’s Business Development Manager Jerimiah Alexander explained, “At Riton, we are always trying to find ways to create the best optics for our customers. When designing the X3 Tactix PRD, we identified the issues with current products, integrated solutions and then built a high-quality product at a super competitive price.”
Inside the X3 Tactix PRD is a CR2032 battery, which provides for a long battery life of more than 40,000 hours. Unlike other pistol red dots on the market, the X3 Tactix PRD allows you to replace the battery from the top of the sight, which ensures the user can change the battery on the sight without having to remove the optic from the firearm. Convenient and quick, it also saves the end user from re-zeroing the sight every time they add fresh batteries.
The X3 Tactix PRDs includes one Picatinny base plate, a protective cover, lens cloth and a hex wrench for adjustment. The X3 Tactix PRD is backed by Riton’s unlimited lifetime warranty with requires no proof of purchase, no registration and features rapid, new-product replacement.
MSRP on the X3 Tactix PRD is $299.99, and more information is available at ritonoptics.com.
