Ruger announced the addition of the .22-caliber LCRx to its revolver lineup, providing shooters with a lightweight DA/SA handgun with a 3-inch barrel.

"With an 8-round capacity, the .22LR LCRx is the perfect revolver for range practice or to take with you on that fishing or camping trip," said Chris Killoy, Ruger president and chief operating officer. "The 3-inch barrel, adjustable sight and low recoil make for a tremendously fun shooting experience."

The new revolver includes an adjustable rear sight and is equipped with smooth Hogue Tamer grips. The gun features a polymer fire-control housing, a frame made from aircraft-grade aluminum and a heavily fluted cylinder made from stainless steel. All of these features work to produce a gun that weighs in at just 17.3 ounces.

The revolver features a matte-black finish and measures in at 5.8 inches in height and 7.5 inches in overall length. Another added feature of the gun is the use of a friction-reducing cam inside of the fire control that provides a smoother trigger pull that does not stack, unlike other revolvers on the market.

The added benefit of the LCRx lineup is the inclusion of an external hammer, allowing shooters to fire in single-action as well as double-action. The total capacity of the new gun is 8 rounds. The suggested retail price of the new LCRx in .22LR is $579.
