SIG Sauer Inc. recently introduced its BRAVO4 MegaView Battle Sight. This sight is one of several product families contained within the all-new SIG Sauer offering of premium, high-performance electro-optics.
The BRAVO4 is a fixed-power, 4X-magnification, prism-based battle sight optimized for close-quarter battle to medium-range engagements where both target acquisition speed and situational awareness are essential. The prism-based BRAVO4 allows for compact overall dimensions and extreme ruggedness, while the premium aspherical lens optical design delivers superior image resolution.
"The BRAVO4 was purpose-built to deliver exceptional image quality and unprecedented field of view," said Andy York, President SIG Sauer Electro-Optics Division "compare it to any other prism-based battle sight on the market and you will be amazed by how much more you will see down range."
Sporting a 43-percent wider field of view than traditional prism-based sights in the market, the BRAVO4 Battle Sight is the world's first ultra-wide 10° field-of-view optic in its category. The flat, distortion-free target image of the BRAVO4 boasts unprecedented edge-to-edge clarity by means of low-dispersion glass, SpectraCoat lens coatings and an aspherical lens design.
The magnesium BRAVO4 is a rugged, dependable and no-nonsense fixed-power optic. The BRAVO4 comes with MOTAC Motion Activation technology to extend battery life of the illuminated reticle, an adjustable eyepiece of +/-2 diopter and horseshoe dot etched-glass reticles in either 5.56/7.62 or .300 BLK with 12 levels of illumination intensity.
