There are some things in life that are just meant to be. Beer should be cold. Engines should have 8 cylinders (motorcycle engines should be V-twins). And .38 Spl. ammunition should have 158-grain bullets.

HPR Ammunition now offers its take on this classic combination, a 158-grain, jacketed hollowpoint .38 Spl. round. It's not often that you open a box of ammo and think, "wow, that's some good lookin' ammo," but in this case that's exactly what happened. Typically ammunition is like motor oil: You don't think much about it until you get a bad batch and it fails to perform.

Given HPR's record, it is extremely unlikely that this ammunition will suffer that fate. Everything we've tested has been exemplary in function; it's hard to imagine ammunition for a sturdy wheelgun could be anything other than spot-on. Stay tuned for more analysis of this ammunition.

MSRP: $38.99.
