It’s amazing what a smartphone can do, especially when it’s something that can truly make our lives easier. Seek Thermal will soon release their Seek CompactPro, a high performance, affordable, infrared thermal imaging for iOS or Android smartphone devices for instant connect-and-detect convenience. The Seek CompactPro is the first thermal imaging device for smart phones that features 76,800 measurement pixels, a thermal sensory array of 320x240 and for the low cost point of less than $500. Users can easily monitor homes, watch game animals, scout and recover, and utilize a beneficial alternative to approaching darkness.

The Seek CompactPro is petite for pocket-size portability, has a maximum FastFrame image frequency rate of >15, and comes standard with adjustment lens with recognition distance of 166 yards and maximum heat detection of 600 yards. The Seek CompactPro features an object temperature range of -40 to 626 degrees Fahrenheit, and its 32 degree field-of-view lens provides a wide field-of-view at a longer range.

"Seek Thermal was founded by 35-year industry veterans in the infrared thermal imaging space who believed that the world hugely benefits by making this technology available to all," said Tracy Benson, CMO/VP of global marketing for Seek Thermal. "The outdoor and field segment has always been an important focus for our company. High performance thermal imaging tools used to be expensive, difficult to carry, and primarily used by few people in military and defense – or those with deep pockets. It is one of the most important sensing technologies that can prevent costly land damages due to overpopulated pests or predators, make it easier to watch animals, scout and recover, and is better suited for conditions approaching absolute darkness. If we can make it more affordable to navigate, surveil, and locate with smaller devices that are versatile for many applications, we are succeeding at our mission. Our aim is to fit everyone's budget and put smart tools into the hands of more people who can really use it, but couldn't previously afford it."

Users can save, send, share and store their thermal images and photos through the smartphone and media capabilities.
