Taurus Ts 9

Taurus International Manufacturing is introducing the Taurus TS9, a full-size, duty-oriented, polymer frame, striker-fired semi-automatic 9mm pistol into the United States This service handgun is popular with police and military units in Brazil, and has passed all the tests and standards for the extremely rigorous NATO proofing requirements. The availability of the TS9 in the U.S. is due to a government contract overrun in Brazil, so the new Taurus TS9 will only be sold and marketed for a limited time and quantities of these pistols will also be limited on our shores.

The TS9 is outfitted with a short length of standard M1913 pattern Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover in front of the trigger guard. Like many other modern striker-fired handguns, the Taurus TS9 does not have any external safeties and has an inner trigger safety that must be depressed before the rest of the trigger assembly can move back to release the striker under tension. The TS9 also has dovetail adjustable front and rear sights as well as ambidextrous slide release levers. The TS9 comes with small, medium and large interchangeable backstraps to accommodate a wide range of hand sizes while the front strap has very gentle finger grooves. Both sides of the grip, the front and the backstrap are all textured. Like the TS9’s slide stops, its magazine release is also ambidextrous and can be installed on either side depending on shooter preferences.
