Originally designed and marketed for the law enforcement community, Rise Armament’s Watchman rifle was introduced at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas in a civilian configuration chambered in .223 Wylde.

The original Watchman rifle was developed with serious input from SWAT and military personnel to provide the most ideal functionality and accuracy at an affordable price point, key characteristics the civilian rifle builds upon. The civilian rifle features several upgrades, including a Rave 140 Trigger with lighter 3.5-pound pull that delivers a crisp break with extremely fast reset and comes in either a straight or curved profile.

The .223 Wylde chamber helps get the best performance out of the .223 Rem. or 5.56 NATO, while the CB-160 barrel delivers superior accuracy and weight reduction. The sub-MOA guaranteed barrel provides impressive accuracy out to 600 yards and features a 1:7-inch twist. The rifle is built on a mid-length gas system to help manage recoil and utilizes a forged upper and lower. The rifle features a Rise advanced flash hider, a four-pronged design meant to eliminate ringing and enhance low-light operation.

The Watchman features Magpul furniture with a 13.5-inch M-Lok handguard that is skeletonized for weight reduction and ergonomically designed for maneuverability. The rifle ships with one PMAG and will also be available in civilian versions of the AR pistol and SBR. Each Rise firearm comes with a lifetime manufacturing warranty, while the MSRP is expected to be $1,699.
