Rossi USA just released a new lever action, the model R95 chambered for the venerable 30-30 Win. centerfire rifle cartridge, which to many people represents the quintessential .30 caliber lever action cartridge that has remained relevant since its debut in the late 1800s.

The new Rossi R95 is available in two barrel lengths: Either a traditional 20-inch, full-size barrel or a slightly shorter 16.5-inch “trapper” barrel. Both configurations are adorned with hardwood walnut stocks and a traditional black oxide finish. Between its traditional walnut and black metal finish and 30-30 Win. chambering, Rossi’s new R95 lever action is a modern homage to the classic lever guns that were the go-to for hunters, trappers, frontiersmen, cowboys and soldiers before the dawn of the bolt action rifle era and high velocity bottleneck centerfire rifle cartridges. The Rossi R95 is made with modern machinery and tooling, and the 6-groove barrels are cold hammer forged for a lifetime of service and accuracy. The 16.5-inch trapper R95 lever action carbine also includes an oversized lever loop. The R95 family is designed with an oversize side loading gate which makes loading .30-30 Win. cartridges into the 5-round-capacity, internal tubular magazine a breeze.
