For 2024, Smith & Wesson revamped its affordable SD9 series by introducing the new Smith & Wesson SD9 2.0 pistol. Like its predecessor, the new SD9 2.0 wears the familiar two-tone silver and black livery and still represent Smith & Wesson’s value proposition as a no-frills defensive striker-fired handgun built around a polymer frame and a four-inch barrel. The SD9 2.0 is a compact polymer-frame striker-fired semi-auto pistol with a 16-round magazine and a four-inch barrel. To reduce costs, it has a polymer rear sight, ships with only one magazine and the frame doesn’t accept any backstrap inserts. However, it does have a Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover.

Smith & Wesson SD9 2.0 Specifications:

  • Width: 1.29 inches
  • Length: 7.2 inches
  • Height: 5.5 inches
  • Weight: 22.7 ounces
  • Caliber: 9 mm
  • Frame Size: Compact
  • Magazine Capacity: 16 rounds
  • Action: Striker-fired semi-automatic
  • Barrel Length: 4 inches
