Christensen Arms announced the new A4 (4-inch barrel) and A5 (5-inch barrel) aluminum-framed 1911s to its product lineup for 2017.

Currently available in 9 mm, each A4 and A5 frame is machined from lightweight 7075 billet aluminum and assembled using only premium components, including a tunable match-grade trigger. They feature a newly designed flat-top, billet stainless steel slide that is hand-fit to ensure smoothness and accuracy. The company guarantees that every gun will shoot a 5-shot, 2-inch group at 25 yards.  Weighing in at roughly 2 pounds, the new A4 is the lightest 1911 produced by Christensen Arms.

"We are please to expand our 1911 product offerings with the new A4 and A5," said Jason Christensen, president of Christensen Arms. "They represent the peak in 1911 technology and performance in a lightweight, aluminum frame."

The new Christensen 1911 A4 and A5 are currently shipping to dealers. The suggested retail price on the new guns is $1,995.
