Winchester, the largest manufacturer of small-caliber ammunition for the U.S. military, was recently awarded a $13 million contract for the development of manufacturing processes for the 7.62 NATO cartridge.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has awarded Winchester Ammunition with a contract to provide .308 Win./7.62 NATO cartridges for its sniper teams.
A recall of some 9 mm 115-grain FMJ and 115-grain JHP loads manufactured by Olin Winchester has been issued, and it includes a few cartridges sold under the Herter’s label.
