Attorney General Mike DeWine recently announced Ohioans holding a valid concealed handgun license must no longer submit to background checks to purchase firearms from dealers with a Federal Firearms License.
The Buckeye state has seen unprecedented increases in Concealed Handgun License in 2013, eclipsing all previous years since permits were first issued nearly a decade ago.
While in excess of 40 percent more permits to carry concealed handguns for personal protection in Ohio were issued during the first quarter of 2012 than during the same period in 2010, Buckeyes still have some catching up to do with their neighbors.
Data released last week by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine indicate that requests for concealed handgun licenses (CHLs) in the Buckeye State continue to surge, with no apparent signs of subsiding.
