The company shortened its signature DVC stippled grip and incorporated a 3.9-inch bull barrel and a lightweight aluminum frame. Despite the shortened grip, the gun uses a double-stack magazine that carries 15 rounds of 9 mm. In addition, the double-stack configuration only measures 1.3 inches in width.
The lightweight aluminum frame combined with slide lightening cuts brings the total weight down to 26 ounces, ensuring that users will be able to carry the pistol with ease. The pistol also comes with low-profile tritium sights that feature a ledge on the rear sight, allowing the pistol to be cocked on a solid surface with one hand.
Other features of the gun include a black diamond-like coating on the frame and slide, as well as a copper-colored barrel. The gun also features STI's proprietary Recoil Master recoil-management system. In addition, the gun comes with an extra extended magazine that holds 17 rounds.
The suggested retail price on the STI DVC Carry pistol is $2,999.
