HPR introduced the company's "Black Ops" line of ammunition last year, claiming the line was developed to maximize knock-down power with the OTF (Open Tipped Frangible) bullet. This ammunition is designed for superior accuracy and excellent terminal ballistics, and is offered in common handgun calibers and .223 Rem.

HPR's 9 mm ammo has an 85-grain projectile with a claimed muzzle velocity of 1,320 fps, giving 329 ft.-lbs. of energy at the muzzle and 273 ft.-lbs. at 50 yards. HPR's .45 ACP ammo has a 150-grain projectile that rockets downrange at 1,113 fps and offers 412 ft.-lbs. of energy at the muzzle.

Both the .45 ACP and 9 mm ammo are loaded into nickel HPR brass for premium function and wear. The Black Ops projectile is frangible to minimize overpenetration and all rounds are constructed to HPR's "HyperClean" specifications.

MSRP: $28.19 for 20 rounds of 9 mm; $34.99 for 20 rounds of .45 ACP.
