Vulture Equipment Works Cholera Fixed Blade Knife

Every once in a while, you see a piece of gear that really catches your eye. It might be a different color, it might be an innovative design or it might just strike you as a well-made piece of kit.

The Vulture Equipment Works Cholera fixed-blade knife is definitely in the latter category. Featuring a serious 3/16-inch thick blade 5.5 inches long and an overall length of 10 inches, the Cholera—named for the disease that lives in the stomach of a vulture, of course—is ready for pretty much any task you might ask. Whether skinning a game animal or whittling a spear, the Cholera is more than up to the task.

Constructed of heat-treated 1095 carbon steel and wearing micarta scales, the Cholera comes with a kydex sheath with an adjustable belt clip. Also included is a ferrocerium and magnesium firestarter that fits into a molded section on the sheath. The Cholera is proudly made in the USA.

The Cholera is a hefty, solid chunk of hardware, with excellent balance and heft befitting a good working knife. Whether in the field after game, around a campfire culling tinder or simply riding on a belt ready for any task, this is a substantial tool for many jobs.

MSRP: $189.99.
