Heckler & Koch MR762A1

Heckler & Koch MR762A1

On the heels of the greatest PR for a rifle, well, ever, Heckler & Koch's MR556A1 became a must-have rifle for folks who wanted the civilian version of the gun SEAL Team 6 (allegedly) used to clean up a pest problem in Abbottabad, Pakistan. This year, H&K steps the platform up to 7.62 NATO (.308 Win.) with the MR762A1, a civilian-legal version of the HK417.

Short-stroke piston operated, the MR762A1 ships with a translucent 20-round magazine. It has an HK-designed quad-rail free-float fore-end and a very comfortable stock. The rifle does not ship with sights, but has a full-length rail for mounting optics, back-up iron sights or optional H&K-manufactured iron sights.
