Though it is possible to aim down the trough atop the pistol’s slide, when testing it was easier to point-shoot with the New Agent as aiming without a front sight is disorienting to those who were trained in the Modern Technique.
The skeletonized trigger broke crisply at 4 pounds, 6 ounces. A quality trigger is vital for accuracy, particularly on a pistol without a front sight, where any hiccups will cause rounds to miss the vital regions.
Along with a front sight, the New Agent also lacks the barrel bushing found on traditional 1911s. While the missing sights are somewhat shocking, the bushingless barrel is a more comfortale change as it simplifies takedown.
