The Final Phase Affair

Despite having anticipated "the call" for quite some time, I was still surprised when the call came in from Joe Hayes yesterday. Having completed my stock and dummy suppressor, he was in the final stage of machining the carbine hand guard when a question came up: "In addition to the set screws to hold it in place on the barrel, do you want me to add a few drips of epoxy to make it semi-permanent?" Recalling Joe's plans to machine small flats in the barrel for the set screws to adhere, I responded with, "Sure, I can't think of any reason to move it—go ahead."

"Ok buddy, keep an eye on your mailbox. You should have it roughly the middle of next week."

Naturally photos and a range report will follow—assuming Section 2 of U.N.C.L.E. New York has dealt with the small matter of T.H.R.U.S.H. infiltration at the NRA Range.
