A hit with a .357 is better than a hit from a .22WMR... but a hit from a .22WMR is better than a miss from a .50BMG. I'd call the odds on your $100,000 bet at about 50/50.

What makes you think you will have time to take 5 shots. That is the fallacy for all you posters who say you can put ten or 5 into someone's eye. I have been in real gunfights and guess what? The other guy and me were usually moving to avoid being shot by each other.

I have a bet for you. $100,000 with same conditons but I have my .357 magnum. Let's see who comes out a winner then. :)

Obviously I replied to the wrong comment. I was replying to the internet expert who commented on the ineffectiveness of a .22.

It is obvious from your comment that you have no real knowledge of guns and ballistics. The only civilian shooting I saw was a very big guy shot in the belly with a .22lr. Instead of laughing or getting pissed he fell to his knees and had to be helped to the church steps not far away where he awaited the ambulance. He died the next day. The internet is not the same on an online university but is certainly the maker of so many experts. :)

I bet you would rather be stabbed with a fork than shot with a .22 mag round. You sound like another wannabe ballistics expert.
