As the father of three wonderful children ages 5, 8, and 16, I cannot help but feel great sympothy for the families of the children killled in any of this great nation’s schools. As parents we are encouraged and even expected to participate in our kids school activities. Chaperoning a field trip, helping out at field days, being a crossing guard on a busy street…. all in the name of keeping OUR CHILDREN SAFE. It is time that we act to insure our children’s safety all day everyday while at school. We all recieve schedules of our school’s events to plan ahead for. It is the unknown schedule of the crazed killer that we must be constantly vigillant for. I am an NRA member, a proud husband and father, and the first person in line to hep defend OUR CHILDREN. We cannot wait any longer.
As a father, husband and free citizen who has taught in public & private schools and universities for more than two decades I support teachers carrying concealed. I believe special firearms courses should be provided to teachers who carry concealed at work dealing with active shooter and defensive postures relating to their school’s environment & grade level. Most school shootings have happened in gun free zones and disarming the law-abiding public will not stop criminals. Action must be taken now to equip and train those who stand in the gap. Now!
As a father and now Grandfather of a two children, we must take action to defend our children against these cowards. We have lost a child years ago to a medical condition no parent should suffer this. I am deeply saddened by the recent events. As mentioned above I am an NRA member, support teacher/’principle concealed carry, attend school events, and consider it my duty to be a defender of this kids, and feel it is an honor to be a first responder to a crazed manic in our schools. What ever it takes we must do. You are either a sheep a wolf or a dog. I choose to be a DOG.
