I continue to be impressed with the ammunition coming from Buffalo Bore. It is reliable, consistent and always lives up to the advertised velocity. This screaming 95-grain 9 mm +P load was no exception. It has an advertised velocity of 1,550 fps, and from my son’s 5-inch-barreled Wilson Combat 1911, it averaged 1,543 fps. Expansion was just shy of 1.5 times the original diameter and penetration was deep at 15 inches. Most importantly, it is extremely comfortable to shoot for a +P load. The blistering velocity also created a nasty wound in the gelatin block.
| Load | Handgun | MV (fps) | PEN (inches) | EXP (inches) | RW (grains) |
| 9 mm +P Buffalo Bore 95-grain Barnes TAC-XP | Wilson Combat 1911 (5-inch barrel) | 1,543 | 15.00 | 0.523 | 95 |

Does me very good to see ammo manufacturers bring out good 9mm defensive ammo that pushes the capabilities of the 9 beyond what was possible 20 years ago when hollow point ammo was scarce for the 9mm. Good Stuff.
