How do you feel about this travesty?

I once went to an estate sale with the most gorgeous gal in the world (my wife) and while thumbing through junk jewelry hoping to find matches to my departed mother's stuff that the daughters think is in fashion, found a Green Beret insignia.

The notice in the paper said he was an Army veteran, so I bought it for 50 cents just to get it away from the parasites. My son-in-law at the time was stationed at Fort Bragg, so when we visited I handed my meager investment over to a docent at the Airborne and Special Operation's Museum there. I have no idea if that man was ever a Green Beret, and whatever happened to that insignia is insignificant—I brought it home and my simple Op makes me smile eight years later.
Can you imagine my disgust when my good friend Bernie Oliver sent me this link to a Purple Heart for sale?
Yes, it's only metal and ribbons. But, somebody took one for freedom to earn that medal. The annoying jerkoff who put it up for sale was so focused on turning a profit that he apparently didn't even check his auctioned item's colors (like a Purple Heart medal is, well purple). Yeah, he really cares for those who stand on the front line of freedom.
My father received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for what he endured and stood up to during the Battle of the Bulge. To have them auctioned off, for whatever price, defiles heroism, patriotism and all this country stands for.
You know where I stand. So let me know how you feel.

Posted by GuySagi, Yesterday, 05:23 PMThe governor's declaration of a state of emergency for Hurricane Earl actually makes it illegal for you to transport, sell, buy or carry a firearm off your premisis. I know, I know, it shocks me, too. I thought we learned some tough lessons a few years ago in New Orleans (be sure to watch the video below). The good news is a court challenge was filed on July 28. In the meantime, though, dove season opens tomorrow and despite NC's governor telling folks not to worry about driving your gun to your hunting area, it's illegal until the state of emergency is rescinded. Barbecue ninja threatens to skewer burglar

Dateline Utah: A man armed with a barbecue fork and a boning knife held a burglar until police arrived. When our ninja barbecue hero put his culinary weapons down after authorities arrived, the bad guy decided it was safe to tenderize a policeman's face in an attempt to escape.
A short foot chase ensued, and when cornered the bad guy pulled a butter knife. He was summarily seared with a tazer and is undergoing a traditional grilling.

A 56-year-old Texas woman was attacked this week in broad daylight at a Wal-Mart parking lot. Luckily, she has a concealed-carry permit and got to her gun before things got really bad.
The bad guy and an accomplice escaped in an SUV that has at least one bullet hole for added ventilation.

The two bad guys may have walked into the store, but check out the video to see how fast they run out when the clerk produces a handgun.
Go granny, go granny...

A 69-year-old grandmother, who sleeps with a pistol under her pillow, displayed her marksmanship skills at 3 a.m. this week when an intruder broke into her home and invaded her bedroom.
The bad guy took one to the stomach (can you say center mass?) and the story warns "...intruders will think twice before messing with her again"
No tip for you

A Nashville waiter or waitress has filed a complaint alleging Tennesee's new regulation allowing guns in establishments serving alcohol creates an unsafe work environment. The whiner's name was withheld in the complaint.
