Mmmmm, beer—Homer Simpson

Before you remiss those of us concerned that some politicians want full gun registration, consider this modern-day Samuel Adams parallel.
Pennsylvania has a beer registration law, and it's suddenly so serious about enforcement that raids are being staged.
Snowflakes In Hell has a more diplomatic take on government regulation, bureacratic snafus that result in improper confiscation and a policy that leaves a public defenseless against bruised hops and premature barley—luckily that's all were defenseless against, for now.

Did a middle-aged suburban Philadelphia woman mysteriously become a terrorist, heading overseas on a mission to kill someone? The authorities think so, and some experts claim this is not a good development in the war on terror.
Here's the Associated Press coverage on the woman, who allegedly believed her blonde hair and American look would allow her to kill a cartoonist in Europe without becoming a suspect.
Court upholds Massachusetts gun-lock law

The state's highest court today upheld a law requiring guns either be locked in a hard case or have a trigger lock on them when in the owner's home.
Can you say: "Hang on guys, don't start your home invasion until I find the key to my gun."

Mid-week mixaphor: Office Space, Swordfish and the FBI
Posted by GuySagi, Mar 9 2010, 01:53 PM
The FBI read my blog about our nation's communications and electric grid being vulnerable to cyber attack and has responded before the panic and rioting spread outside the White House.
One of the cases the FBI cites in its report is a cyber attack that drained money from bank accounts to the attacker's pockets. The movie Office Space has a similar money-draining scheme with more flair, and, oohhhh, oooohhh, ooooohhh, who can forget the laser printer's ultimate demise?
John Travolta's Swordfish also dealt with electronic money tranfers, which brings me to the subject of blondes putting pressure on Internet guys. How come the FBI didn't let me know the 6-foot gal with the Photoshoped body of Venus who found me on the Internet was really practiced in cons and didn't care about my prose?
Ohhh, ooohhh, ooooohhh, the FBI initiative is called InfraGard, not as short and snappy as a mandatory TPS report, but catchy enough to reel in a few more fish. Gotta go—the Bobs are here to mess with my chi (how sick is that?)—but I'm lockin' and loadin' my hi-cap red Swingline before I leave.
